Zentangles cont.

By now I was beginning to worry that I'd run out of ink so I used some of the other pens from the kit.  The pens I'd used the most were the Pigma Micron 01 and the Pigma Brush.  The brush is very useful in filling in the dark spaces of Hollibaugh.

This tile used the brush a lot but there were plenty of fine lines to drain the Micron 01 as well.

I worked a bit on getting the Poke root to puff out of its boundaries and made the mist go up and down. I also used the pen to darken the spaces in the KnightBridge (checkerboard) pattern just above the poke root.

I manage to get flux (the leaf) to escape it's boundary. In those cases I didn't outline the spaces but you can still faintly see the pencil mark of the boundary.

This Zentangle was started on the plane from Houston to Albuquerque. I wasn't very happy with it (the cadent pattern in the center that looks sort of like scrolls of papers wasn't working out quite the way I wanted) so I put it up.  The next morning, while we waited in our motel room until we could leave to pick up our animals at Pet Suites, I pulled it out again and added a few more things, including the border I'd planned in the beginning and did some shading. While it's not my favorite, it's not a total disaster.

The light greenish-blue line on the left is an alignment line on Photoshop that I didn't get rid of before I saved the drawing.

All of the Zentangles presented were scanned on my Flip-Pal mobile scanner so I could get them on the computer and post them on the blog.
